At Lookaway Farm, we run various summer, holiday, exercise and day camps.
Day Camps Are geared towards those looking to advance their riding. Day camps consist of valuable time spent, watching and experiencing the training aspect of the horse world. These day camps are customized to the riders needs, and generally include 2 lessons a day.
Our Summer Camps run for four days, one in July and one in August. Students will learn various horse knowledge, participate in daily chores and activities, as well as have individual riding lessons. Campers take time to learn parts of the horse and tack, as well as make horse related crafts, and play games related to the days activities. Wednesday through Friday are used as normal camp days. Saturday is our family day; family and friends are invited to come to watch our campers ride individually in a special horse show.
Our Holiday camps are focused more on riding time and daily barn duties. These are offered on such school breaks as winter, fall, and spring breaks. Please dress children appropriately.
Exercise "BOOT" Camps Are focused more towards adult and or show riders. Camps are generally held in the evening, several times throughout the year. they are focused more on building muscles and crucial exercises related with higher level riding. Please call for times and availability.
